Estepona is situated midway between Malaga and the duty-free port of Gibraltar, Estepona offers easy access from either airport and is just a short drive to Marbella and Puerto Banus, along Costa del Sol’s coastal road system.
Estepona and the Costa del Sol has some of the finest beaches and golf coursesaround, it may not be to the taste of everybody that comes to the Costa del Sol, but sun and beach tourism is alive and well and living on the Costa del Sol.
Estepona has excellent beaches, cleaned every day and with all the services that only a great Spanish beach can offer: bars, restaurants, showers, beach umbrellas, beach beds, palm trees, children’s parks, special access for the disabled, lifeguard services, policing, water sports and much much more.
And if you want none of this, but to lie on an empty beach with nobody around you can have that too because there are also small coves and beaches along the coast.
The 161 kilometres of Malaga province coastline is mostly beach with most of the Rental Properties built close to the beaches, most of the finest restaurants within shouting distance of the beaches and the best climate in Europe, it is little wonder that the beach means so much to local residents and tourists alike.
The flip side is that Estepona’s numerous street cafes and Tapas bars still preserve the traditional Spanish delicacies, the cobbled narrow streets, which seem more suited to donkey and cart than the more modern form of transport. You’ll also find shops and bodegas in Old Estepona where you least expect them, all friendly, inviting!
